Various Types of CBD Products

There are mainly three types of CBD:

1. Isolate, which has only CBD;

2. Broad Spectrum, which has CBD and other cannabinoids, except THC; and

3. Full Spectrum, which has CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids.

Which one you take depends on what you want to improve.

Here are some advantages of each type:

CBD isolate: it is the purest form of CBD, it doesn’t contain THC, does not contain other cannabinoids, terpenes, or other plant compounds, and it has no odor or taste.

Broad-spectrum: it contains other cannabinoids and terpenes that produce the entourage effect, allowing CBD to mix with other compounds and work better together.

Full-spectrum: it is not as pure as isolate and broad-spectrum CBD; it may contain up to 0.3% THC.
CBD Tinctures

CBD tinctures are similar to CBD oils; the difference is the extraction method. For oil, manufacturers use carbon dioxide, and for tinctures, they use alcohol. When making CBD oils, they use heat and pressure to separate CBD from the plant. To create a CBD tincture, they usually soak cannabis in alcohol and slowly heat the mixture. This allows them to infuse the alcohol with CBD, which they boil or dilute.

CBD oils are more potent, while CBD tinctures have a longer shelf life. They both are used orally, but tinctures are not suitable for skin use.
